+1 for the TY80.

Both my lads started on a TY80 without having an auto first.

Can't be a lot of them left in use though?

try a ttr 110, my lad is 9 and it fits him ok, for a while. No clutch thou, the tt125 does have a clutch. Great bikes.

+1 on the TT-R125. My son (average size and skills) climbed the following ladder for our father-son trail-riding activities:

- TT-R90 at 8

- TT-R125 at 10

- CRF 150F at 12

- CRF 230F at 14

- CRF 250X at 16 (by this time he was sneering at air-cooled motors)

I may have posted this reply already, being tech challenged, but I like the TTR125 as a kids bike, mine could handle it easy by age 11 and they could grow with it. Nice torque, a real motorcycle not a toy. Now my wife rides it. You can uncork, etc.

The TTR 125 is a little version of the TTR 250. They are perfect to learn on for 10 to 13 year olds. There are two versions, the small wheel and the large wheel. Small wheel will be best for a 10 year old. My lad had one and it was brilliant, gears, clutch, kick start. Newer ones have electric start. They are as tough as anything. Honda do almost identical as above in the Crf 125. He will love it. So will you 😀 Let us know how you get on. Mark
