hi i bought a 2000 ttr 250 which someone had been at the carb settings,does anyone know the correct settings any help would be great

WELCOME !
Without knowing your specific issue, a good place to start is roughly 2 1/2 turns out. If you have a modified air box, pipe or any jetting changes, the 2 1/2 turns might not hold true. Elevation of your location plays a big part of the equation too.
If you post a bit more of your information, ie was there any mods, your location etc. some better advise might be of more help.
