Just to say Hi, live in UK and have just bought a 93 TTR250 Open for a bit of Greenlane fun.Wanted to take off the gear change lever to straighten it up and unfortunately the nearside footpeg hanger is welded on and does not allow the gear lever enough play for removal. Is this standard??

Welcome, Colin.

It sounds as if something may be slightly bent if you can't take the gear lever off. confuse

The lever is usually removed after loosening/removing the lock bolt and nut.

Welcome to the forum Colin biggrin

As Martyn says, one of the POs has had an "off" and its bent the footpeg mount on the frame inboard slightly - doesn't have to be much to make it hard to get the gear lever off cry

Thanks Gents
I am guessing somethings bent, may need closer inspection, does not affect the running for now.
Looking forward to the Mudlark.
Colin.
