Lots of great info on this site. I'm curious what you value a used 2000 TTR 250 at in the US.
Here's the bike info that I have.
I bought it a few months ago from the original owner who lives a few miles from me here in Arizona. According to him and his son, the guy broke his foot pretty bad riding it shortly after the purchase. The odometer showed just under 400 miles and they claim it was never reset. The bike had original tires front and rear with the nubbies still visible on the outer edges. original chain ( very stiff and unuseble) original seat cover as well. All plastic was original.
The carb was so gummed up that the throttle wouldnt move. It was soaked and rebuilt using OEM parts. It had a greenish jello looking risidue in the bowl. I presume that was gas at one time. Original battery was shot, I bought a new lithium cell. New chain, tires, plug, oil and filter were installed. I shot some wd40 into the cylinder and let it sit for a day before trying to crank it over. It was really fun to start it up (after sitting for close to 15 years ) and it purred like a new bike.
Since then ( Dec 2015) I have put anothe 600 or so miles on it riding local trails. I replaced the front fender with an OEM one because it had a permanent bend from being rested against for so long. For some reason, the headlight bezel/fairing was really faded and britlle, so I put new OEM one on. The headlight is original and works. After a few rides the original seat cover started to crack and I was losing a small pieces each ride. I replaced the cover with a blue and black gripper style.
That's pretty much all I can think of right now. I'm considering selling it and moving into a newr bike and would be interested in what I should expect it to bring.
