Bought this bike last weekend. I have had various other bikes for green laning. I am very pleased with this bike, the handling is really easy for off road and enough torque and power to have some fun!
Can anyone advise me the best place to get a set of decals?
Fitted a set of enjoy decals and had a bit of maintenance done. Needed new swing arm bearings and whilst doing that found out lower linkage bearings are shot! and the rear wheel bearing changed front sprocket to 12 teeth (from 13)
Really pleased with the new look with the decals! Spent ages looking online and nearly bought this set to be shipped over from America. Went into my local bike dealers and just by the off chance they had a bargain bin of old graphics kits and just happened to have this one!
Been out three times so far and had nothing but awesome fun!
Amazing that a local m/c shop would have a set of TTR250 Enjoy Mfg graphics in their bargain bin - what are the chances eh?
What did you do about the swingarm? It is possible to repair some slight grooving with Chemical Metal but I think you are looking at a replacement swing arm
Have you met Mike - also from Barnstaple and a recent TTR owner?
Hey Brian, no I haven't met Mike. Managed to repair it with some chemical metal and fitted a new chain guard (the plastic bit) as it was destroyed! Will just have to see how it goes....
Also just realized I said I changed front sprocket for a 12t, it was actually a 13t I changed it to as I read that 12t would destroy the chain etc.
Steve we have just had new windows fitted plus she's getting a new kitchen next month as well I still would not have the balls ask her if I could go for a Sunday bike run on the lanes closest I get is an hour or two out on the Harley in the summer after I have cooked dinner.................... it's her day off cooking so yes a Saturday Please............
that arm just want's a little time with a Tig or a gas Aluminum brazing rod put the bearing back in an build it up round it an save the milling you would have to do if you used a Tig it wont stick to the bearing just knock it out after an put the new one in low temp rods just use a plumbers torch bit of file after job dun have used this stuff to fix spokes that have pulled out of wheel rims an stripped bolt holes before with out any problems
