Potential TTR owner from Ireland

Hi All,

Got inclined to join the forum after going to see a TTR for sale, the seller pulled out , but i liked the bike and decided to keep looking for another one. i'm thinking of doing a bit of overlanding and i reckon it'll be spot on for what i need. The forum also ssems like an incredible resource and is almost a reason to buy a TTR all by itself!!

Welcome to the forum Cian!

If you get the right TTR then I am sure you won't be disappointed biggrin

All the help and advice you need available here from a very knowledgeable group of owners.

The TTR is one of the last "real" air-cooled 250 4-stroke trail bikes and is a real classic.

Doubt you will find anything with such a ready supply of parts, advice and so easy to work on plus, of course, the magic button wink

Overlanders tend to be very independent souls and I am sure there are more TTRs travelling the globe than we know about but there are a few links and write ups here.

Hi Cian

Welcome to the forum. Best of luck in your hunt for a TTR.

It took me quite a while to get my one. The weakness of the Euro makes buying in the UK very expensive.

There is a member on biker.ie  who offered his for sale recently for something aound 1800 Euro so it could be worth joining to stick up a  wanted ad.

Otherwise you might try France or Germany.

Tom

Thanks Tom, i have to agree, i've given myself a small mountain to climb with this one. But hopefully a few months of active searching will turn up a decent machine
