Blue tank UK model registered by selling garage in July 2004 but sold to its first owner in July 2006.
First owner commuted with it and never even removed the power restrictors, covering around 22-23k miles.
I then purchased it in Feb 2010 de-restricted and used it for commuting around the London area.
In 5 years it has never let me down, not even a puncture.
MoT till Aug 16.
Now approaching 36000 miles. A full valve shim service was done by a Yamaha dealer at 33400 but it required no shims. At the same time they fitted an all balls suspension linkage bearing kit.
It has had very frequent self maintenance oil and filter changes and comes with a fair amount of history.
This bike starts first time every time.
I have jetted it for and fitted it with an FMF Q silencer with spark arrestor.
It also has a mod to the snorkel (not airbox) and a performance air filter.
It has Oxford heated grips that I had fitted a few years ago.
It has a home made sump bash guard. The oil can be changed with this in place.
It had an EBC front brake disc and pads fitted a couple of years ago.

Although not off-roaded the mileage has taken its toll on the cosmetics, most of the decals have gone, paint worn from the frame in places etc.
Headlight plastic surround is damaged. Mirrors need changing.
It is currently running very high gearing (good for commute), I changed the chain and sprockets (520 O-ring) a couple of years ago.
It has Avon Distanzia tyres fitted, no punctures and plenty of life left. I have a spare knobbly rear you can have if you want it.
Starter motor works perfectly.
Lots of paperwork with the bike, including handbook and original bill of sale. V5 in my name.
mechanically this bike is very good good, mostly original with all working indicators and lights and original UK speedo.

I have had a second TTR for over a year now and have never used it because the one I am selling is so good, but I need to reduce my garage baggage. The second one will probably be sold when I Have MoT'd it and checked it out.
I think it has been priced fairly as does have a slightly dulled finish from winter salt. No need to worry about showing the pictures. It has most the standard bits which is beneficial. Be nice if it went to a forum member..
I removed this bike from gumtree because I had changed my mind and sold my other TTR instead.
However, the other TTR had a dead battery which I swapped over with the one in my working bike to sell it.
On the trip to the bike shop to get a new battery I saw a WR250X that I have fallen for so the bike is back up for sale.
It now has a brand new OE spec (GS) battery as well, not an ebay cheapie. I am very keen on the WR so I will now take £1100 for it but I am not interested in any lower offers.
A more accurate mileage is 35,400 miles

It will not be for sale for too long because after the WR250 arrives I will probably take it apart to store it in the garage roof if it gets in the way.

A combination of being messed about by idiots and the attachment that has developed over 6 years of hassle free fun with it means I can't bring myself to let it go.
Neither can I box it up so I'm keeping it on the road. I reckon it will continue to be the bike that that leaves the garage the most despite some good choices.
