good morning, has anybody fittedĀ heidenau k60's 4.10-18 tt 60s /300-21 tyres to their bike?,they have been recommended to me but the rear size seems uncommon, thanks.martin
The 4.10 is a smaller size than the 4.0 or so i've been told, as its a different ratio.
You can get 4.0 Heidenaus though, i've just ordered a new one. I'm running a 90/90/21 Heidenau K60 up front too if that helps with sizing. Really like these tyres!
thanks for the info,i was thinking of the k60 as i use my bike on mostly country/unclassified lanes,i saw them on the recent load carrying thread, did a search and very good reviews,my understanding of a 4.10 size should be inches across the tread and as there is no profile number it should be 100% by default, the tyre code charts are as clear as mud regarding 4.10.prob easier to order a metric tyre, martin,
after a trawl through the web it seems that in the usa tires are sometimes marked diffrent. 4.10 means 4= 4 inches of widest tread and the.10 is a profile % so a 4.60 and 4.10 are the same width, diff height.
I'd heard that the 4.10 is more like a 3.75 tyre. Its been a few years since I experienced it (buying tyres for a Honda superdream..) but I do remember them being weirdly different.
I thought a 4.10 is 90% profile so its smaller than a 4.00
