Quick weight loss trick!

Catch the Norwalk Virus (or Norovirus). I have lost over half a stone in the last couple of days.

The downside is the projectile vomiting, pooing water with very little control over when and where, belching sulphur fumes and generally feeling rubbish disbelief

Hope it goes away soon!!!!!

Brian

Oh dear Brian sounds horrible. Antibiotic burps eh. Maybe a few shots of whisky will kill the germs..

Oh dear, get well soon, Brian. bleh

And I was planning a courtesy visit for a coffee and chinwag today - that's delayed now. disbelief   biggrin

Hope it's not too contagious and Trish is keeping well away.

Worked for me too a few months ago. Put half of what I lost back on but I wouldn't recommend it.

The only problem is most of that weight loss is through losing water! So make sure you drink plenty!!!

I caught the winter vomiting bug at Uni, having to share 2 loos with 10 people made for some close encounters!!!

Talking of weight loss, i lost nearly a stone in 2 weeks when i went to Morocco last year. The food was quite bland and basic so didn't eat as much as i would in the UK. I was shocked when i got on the scales at home.
Year before that i put a stone on in 2 weeks on an all inclusive holiday.

Were you diagnosed Brian? The gas bit makes it sound more like giardia (an amoeba parasite) picked up from poor water supplies, particularly in areas with sheep/goats. A course of metronidazole sorts it. Hope you're feeling better (lighter!) anyway.
Simon.
