Hello from Kraków, Poland
Permalink

Hi all,

My name is Andrzej, I live in Kraków, Poland. TTR250s are quite rare in my country.

I got my '93 Japan TTR250 OE about a month ago, but since then I was busy with first fixing it up for Albania trip, and then going there.

I already read some tutorials from this forum, and they were quite useful when I was replacing the cam chain and clutch. Many thanks!

Here it is during fitting the rear rack (custom ALU stunt rack from XR650R).

Thanks! I like the decals too. Unfortunately, below them there is a really sloppy paint, so I may (or may not) need to remove the bad paint from the whole thing. For now I leave it alone.

On this pic there is not yet the TTS bash plate, which I mounted in Albania on zip ties, rally style.

Welcome to the forum, Andrzej.

I see that Kraków riders are similar to UK riders by the number of used beer bottles surrounding your bike. http://overthegate.myfreeforum.org/images/smiles/AnimatedGreenEye/219435.gif

Thanks Cubber!

If you look at my avatar, you can see my '89 Transalp too. Transalp is big here, and its riders know how to use beer to satisfactory results ;)

You are really optimistic about that kgs: mine is early edition, 183 dry plus good crashbars. Later things only get worse.

My friend has a 250 kg travel setup on his TA, which does not stop him from going offroad.

Transalps and Afrikas serve often as Hard Enduro here, sometimes for lack of a different bike.

BTW, a thread about my TTR on a Polish forum is in place, English translation here:

Googles translation of your conversation with your Polish friends on the forum is interesting! But I understood it closely enough! I'm guessing a chimney is an exhaust or muffler you could say?!..

Google translates things better or worse, but we made things worse using bikers slang.

Yes, chimney (komin) is a muffler in slang. Preferably a loud one. Or a very loud one.

It probably comes from "diesel gotta smoke".

Pete, if you find it interesting, then take a look at this:

It is my own creation, brought to you by a few beers.
