I bought my 1994 TTR 250 Open Enduro last year but despite having ridden off road since I was a kid, I only just got my licence. My bike needs a couple of jobs doing to it, biggest one being replacing the fork seals, and an MOT, then we're good to go. Hopefully I can get some help and advice from you guys. The bike seems to be in pretty good shape, just a few minor repairs required. I'd really like to get a better headlight too... the factory one is useless!
Interested to know what the best 'first round' of mods would be?
It'd be grand to meet up with some of you for rides out when my bike is on the road. I'm in Frome, Somerset.
Cheers,
Ben

My recommendation is to get your TTR its MOT and give it a good run to make sure all OK. Get it running right as standard before considering any engine mods.
A good sumpguard, handguards and some decent tyres suited to your lanes (ask the local TRF guys - they will advise what's best in your area) would be a good investment.
I am also A fellow Somersettian ha. I'm over in Martock. Welcome to the forum. You have Salisbury plain and cranborne chase lanes almost on your doorstep!
Good luck with the mot, bet you can't wait to get it out, the ttr is one of the finest non'race' machines out there.
Yeah I can't wait!! I've been off road on the TTR, it's a fantastic bike. And I also do a bit of 4x4ing so have started exploring the byways on Salisbury - very chuffed to have all that so close to home :)
I'm in Wedmore (near Cheddar). Funnily enough I was over on Salisbury Plain last weekend.
Us Somerset boys need to organise a day out ride, see if we can lure a few of the Devon lads up too (They're not a pretty lot though)
