I'm using Distanzia's and find them very sure footed on the road with no vibration unlike the knobblies that I had before. Not used the conti's but no doubt someone will advise soon

If it's any help, I had Conti "Twinduro" TKC 80's on my Honda Transalp, I loved them and got through two sets and they were excellent, very good on tarmac, wet or dry, including that nasty marbly gravel stuff you get on side roads after rainstorms. Whilst fine on-road they were good enough off-road for me to avoid getting in trouble on fields and farm tracks, ie "gentle off-road".
On the Transalp they were OK for about 5000 miles, it's a heavy bike (why I sold it) with about 55 horsepower.
If I find a spare pair of TTR wheels I'll certainly fit TKC80's !

I use the TKC 80's on my Tenere , very good on the road and good on the trail unless there's mud. I get around 4000 miles from a rear and about 7000 mile for the front.

Put some conti escapes on my TTR as it isn't off road much.
Like the TKC's they will be rubbish in mud although back in the day we used to have to race on trials pattern tyres so I think with care you could cope with some slippy stuff.
On firebreaks they are fine, no slower than on the road, track well too. Not really enough power to play drifting on curves unless you give the bars a good twist to break out the back end when they are nice and predictable.
TKCs are really designed to be all season road tyres. The open blocks allow them to be classed as winter tyres in europe where they do demand this and it makes sense. Road tyres in snow are a bit tricky to say the least
