Aftermarket fuel screw to fit these odd TTR carbs?

I'm wondering if there's such a thing as an aftermarket fuel metering screw with a long shank on it to fit a TTR250. I can easily purchase one for my WR250f as it has a name brand carb. But what about the ttr? If so, do any of u guys know of a part number for one? Thanx.

Hi Terence

Do you mean the pilot air screw - part 5 on the fiche pic below?

If so, they are easy to adjust by hand and rarely need altering once set correctly confuse

Yes, that's the one. I find it awkward to adjust, especially when the engine is warm. Maybe it's my large hands lol. A longer screw stem and head would certainly be much more convieniant IMO. I said it before, and I'll say it again; a big thumbs down to yamaha for putting a carb on the TTR250 that doesn't have reasonable part availability, especially jets. When it comes down to ordering parts from local yamaha dealers for this bike, it always comes down to all the parts being on back order confuse. Maybe I'll make my own aftermarket fuel screw biggrin.

 Hey Terrance

I have large hands as well and it is a bit fiddly but I just used the tip of a small straight blade screw driver

after a carb rebuild a few months ago I haven't touched it at all

Honestly I don't think it's worth the trouble to replace, also just put a small spot of white paint on 1 of the little nobs so you know where you are at when turning it

Set it and literally forget it ah.
