hi can any one tell me if they have used any other shocks on the rear of the purple frame 4gy as I am trying to get a replacement and was wondering if I can use any other shocks such as the mono shock of 225 or the mono shock from the 600 and help wl be much much appreciated

As far as is commonly thought amongst TTR guys, the rear shock is unique to the TTR.

It is true that a shock from an OE will fit a blue TTR and vice cersa, but the shock is still unique to the TTR model.

They tend to be like hen's teeth to obtain and most get the original refurbished. wink

Look in "Search" and you'll find loads of posts - all ending as unique.
