Well Markovan, Shiny, I cleaned up mine recently but I only used Gumption and a green pot scourer, came up well though, not as shiny but it kept the BLUED look

I agree about removing the pipe regularly to keep the studs clear, A bit of  a polish on the threads works well.

Btw I need to ask the correct procedure to remove the header.
I had much difficulty since to remove it I had to slide and scrath the frame.

Did you remove the muffler first ?

If not that would explain it, the header should just slip straight out without any difficulty

Try again without the muffler
