Can anyone tell me...what is the weight difference between a 'Raid' and a newer 'Blue' model?

Dry weights - Raid is 120kg and the OE models 113kg

Only 7kg difference heh? Given the tank, swingarm and light i thought it would be more!
Is the OE the same weight as the Blue models? Thought the OE had a metal tank too where the Blue has plastic?

Very little difference between the weight of the metal and the plastic tanks.

7kgs is quite a bit.

Interesting that the WR250R is a tad heavier than the TTR and that's got an alloy frame.

Brian - Would an OE swingarm fit my Raid?
Would make sense to swap it if so.
I've been thinking of a lightweight Polisport headlight and keeping the Raid light to one side...I have done a lot of night riding in the past and it's unbeatable for that.
I'll not bother replacing the tank with an OE version...can't be bothered changing the seat and everything!!!

Yes - the OE swing arm is a straight replacement except you need the longer OE rear axle to go with it.

I just had an email from a customer who bought a blue TTR to run alongside his Raid. He isn't a forum user so is unaware of this discussion but, interestingly, he says:

"Notice the new TTR bike I bought of ebay which is blue seems much lighter than my raid (white one) - is the frame/wheels etc...  made from lighter alloy????"
