Limit was 50kph in the camping stretch of beach and 80kph elsewhere. Noosa Queensland. Well north noosa. Noosa is abit like Byron bay , beautifull beaches and headlands but packed with tourists all year round. Rangers patrol the beach for permits and also police As all road rules apply.
Yum yum food truck on the beach. Cold coke must sell well over the xmas break as hes parks where alot of folks get bogged in there 4+4 trying to get over a sand dune from one beach to the other.
This is Double island point. I think captain Cook saw it as two islands from the ocean but it is part of mainland Australia. A track crosses from 40 mile beach on the left then Rainbow beach on the right. Plenty of 4+4 clutches have been destroyed over the dune.
This is a camp site amongst the trees a few meters above sea level. Blossom always seems to be on the back of the bike. Hard going in boggy sand doubling.
Best we got in the UK Westcountry is Chesil Beach in Dorset but its shingle and pebbles and a tad difficult to ride unless you keep your speed up!
Chesil Beach is located on the South coast of England in the county of Dorset. It is a pebble beach 18 miles long and stretches north-west from Portland to West Bay.
It's a long time ago that I rode it and my guess is that it's closed to vehicles these days
Blossoms on one of those horses in the background. It was
just me and the ttr on the beach. Bummer was that its high tide. Went through the boggy sand alone in 3rd gear with power on standby. Last time i was here i had a brand new TT500. Which had more than enough power in the sand. Im still happy with what a standard ttr250 can do. Had 13 --44 gearing. next time will run 13---52 so gear changing in boggy sound will have abit more pull.

As far as I know the only bit that's legal these days is from Abbotsbury to West Bexington. Most of it is rocky track but there is some deep shingle at the West Bexington end. A fun little ride though
They call these rocks Coffee rock. As water lays in any rock pools it turn the color of coffee in water. EVANS HEAD. NSW. Australia. Had a two hour ride on the beach and as i was leaving i read the beach rule and regulations. NO BIKES ALLOWED. only 4wheel drives. So i rang the local police and he said no bikes. At the Rangers or local goverments request as bikes can go higher on the dunes and do damage. Not fair i reckon No bikes allowed. Lucky Ranger didnt see me on the day as may have copped a fine.
Used to ride my KDX on the beach in Stevenston in Ayrshire in the early 80s. Managed to hit 75mph near the waters edge. Probably get arrested nowadays, one thing I do remember is that sand and drum brakes don't mix well.
