TTR250 for sale ( Now sold)

Hi there, have just registered to the site.

I have an 04 blue TTR250 in my garage that I purchased new from Mark Seward Racing motorcycles in Cornwall (where I live). It has only done just over 2000 miles (or is it k/ms). Most of it's use was off road on local trails and the odd road trial. It was last taxed and Mot'd in 2008 and has been SORN'd ever since.

I have 'leaned' it out for using off road and it has a few mod's like tyres and bash-plate etc.

The battery is as flat as a pancake and the carb is now gunked up with old petrol.

UPDATE..... now sorted and runs sweetly.

Does anyone have any idea how much I should be asking for it price-wise, or even better is anyone interested in taking it off my hands ?

Sounds dirt cheap! At that price I would consider getting it shipped to the other side of the world lol. wink

Thanks Chris, I was thinking more in the region of £1200.... if £250 is accurate it will stay where it is blankstare

your not far off steve like i said last night thats what i payed for my tidy 05 with no tax or test (didnt matter as i dont take it on the road) but no one will pay that if its not running as theres no way to tell what condition the engine and all the expensive parts are in

so to get close to your price it would have to run and run well with a good sprag clutch and no smoke etc

Thanks Chris, dropped the bowl on the carb and filled it with fresh petrol and it's running as sweet as a nut, have ridden it around the close where i live and been up and down the gears, all working fine. Given it a wash so will hopefully post some pic's this evening. Thanks again for the response.

Now we know it runs and have some pictjres, must be worth at least £21000-£2350 as that's what most people ask for there's that are roughly the same age and sometimes a little worse condition, in fact I think there's one the same age on the for sale page a bit further below this one so that can be used as an indication of its value

Good to get a sensible comment Colin wink

I thought the same myself - clean looking TTR. Amazing how well the original tank decals have held up.

Gotta be a great bike for someone.

In terms of value, its gonna be worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Certainly looks a nice clean bike, and the pictures are nice and clear smile

You need a photo of the clocks showing the mileage though, that always helps with a sale.

Regards, ff.

Think you would have to be a fool to let that go for less than £2100 personally

Just a thought but would it be better to have a for sale section that you could advertise say a bike but one that does not allow comments etc?.

No it wouldn't as this owner didn't put this bike for sale, just asked what people think it was worth and that is what people have done

Well it was only an idea and not just specifically with this bike in mind, but that's me told I guess!

Hi Steve, are you still marketing your TTR250 or has the banter above put you off now? Presume it'll be somewhere between £250 and anything above £2,100 just to be clear!

Yes, still for sale. I think a fair price would appear to be 1500 or near offer. I would be happy to mot and get a new battery but the price will go up if this is required.
