hi spent all day riding my new ttr ,got all of 200 km on the clock now!very happy with it other than what can only be described as a strange vibrating sort of noise when i back off.pull the clutch in and noise disappears, throttle on and it goes away too.will get it checked at first service.have checked for loose stuff but cant see anything obvious.i have attatched a couple of pics.IMG_20140308_172255_187.jpgIMG_20140308_172236_347.jpg

nice bike

sounds like it could be the chain clipping the case saver as it comes off the front sproket .fairly easy fix .and fairly common

Nice and shiny, bet you can't wait to get it covered in mud though  wink

Your right about the case saver Les, mine is all worn where the chain has been rubbing against it

Now it doesn't wink

Hey Adam

I spotted another brand new TTR this afternoon,  was that you I saw in Wentworth Falls ?

no i didnt quite get to wentworth falls, maybe one day.is there a fix to the chain hitting the case saver.i am pretty sure after just riding it around my paddock without a helmet for a better listen that it is my mysterious sound.

its an easy fix just take the front sproket cover off then you can slip the case saver off and file or grind about 1mm off the bottom edge you can usualy see the mark where the chain hits it

good to hear that your gettjng the ttr out .im heading bush at sunrise tomorrow been a bit of rain so should be prime conditions
