Hi, I'm new to the forum and recently enquired about TTRs and was looking for a UK bike. I was directed to a very nice bike and have subsequently bought it from TTRFan, Brian.
The bike was delivered last night and I am very pleased indeed. Its a very nice little number and my first bike.
So hello everyone and I'll be on the forum asking all sorts of remedial questions regarding the bike. Someone's got to.
First things first, Brian kindly furnished me with a copy of owner and service manuals for the PC. I'd also like the original books in case I don't have access to a DVD player or whatever.
I see that the manuals say tt250r L(c ) and suchlike. Is the L the year of the bike? What's the c? Is there any point in seeking a 2005, The year of my bike or will any owners manual do, Are they more or less the same?
There is a mention of acquiring a bound service manual for £30 + from a Yamaha dealer. Does that still apply? Is it the same manual that you see on eBay currently?
That's all for now so just to introduce myself ( Dave) and say thanks Brian for such a nice bike.
For some reason the Californian models are the only bikes that have a country code. I think it has something to do with emission regulations but your guess is as good as mine.
The letter for 2005 is ''T''- 2005 Yamaha TT-R250T/TC.
I did notice a few manuals in the US on eBay, nice to know they are still about.
