This prompted me to look up who this chick is. Turns out she got along pretty good with some of them to the point where she really ain't as smart as ya'll may think, HERE IS A QUOTE from an article I just read about her trip...

I have read a couple of her books and she came to talk to our local trail riders group about her adventures a couple of years ago when she wasn't quite so well known.

That's some good coffee you're on man!
Actually, as I understand it, visas and work/life commitments meant a longer stay wasn't possible. I believe Lois will be back out there as soon as possible. And it's not difficult to make friends in Iran, in fact it's near impossible to avoid it. Their hospitality is relentless!
By the way, theft is not that common out there as penalties are quite severe. It's a nice dream though...
