Just thought I would share a magical view of the Atherton Tablelands. It was a good (long) ride and well worth it for a view like this..

Enjoy!

Thanks all for your kind words

There is some REALLY good tracks up here (apparently some of the best in the world) and magical views. Now all I need is more people to ride with. wink

Here is a few more from the trip...

Enjoy!

Jarrah

Just thought I would add a few more pictures to this thread. I apologize to anyone who may have already seen these, I am trying to keep them all together rather than spread out where I cannot find them, hope you all enjoy them!

Powerline track looking south towards Millstream Estates (forgot my gloves this day no)-

A rocky creek crossing on the same track-

A steep rocky uphill (the picture does it no justice)-

Another shallow(ish) creek crossing-

A nearby creek with my WR400-

Bogged but not in the usual way-

My mate on his XT225 Serrow was in a worse way lol-

A quick power-wash afterwards biggrin-

On the powerline track looking north-

At the Wild River-

Unfortunately, that is all the pictures that I can find ATM of trail riding, so I will add a few videos...

One of my favorites-

Forgot to clean the camera case no-

A STEEP rocky hill, this hill is harder than it looks and has caught out many good trail riders, including myself a few times-

Thought I would add this slideshow of my bike-

Enjoy!

Jarrah

 Hey Jim,

The first picture in this thread is looking towards Atherton, you can just see it in the picture. The second is facing toward Dimbulah, Mareeba is behind the mountains you can see to the right of the picture. Atherton is only half an hour drive from Mareeba.

The mountain I am standing on when taking the pictures is near Mount Baldy, can't remember the exact name but when I do I'll update this.

Enjoy!

Jarrah

Hi Jarrah

Good to see some images of Nth Queensland from the TTR Perspective, smile

I did notice though that the images could use some tweaking

See the before and after shots

I use a program called Faststone, it's got a bunch of really simple and effective editing tools

get it from www.faststone.org

It only took 30 seconds to makethe changes to this file

I know it all takes time but I recon it's worth it, it also does batch processing so you can apply the edit to all your pics

Resize, colour edit, lighting, crop, the lot all in a few clicks

Hey Steve, glad you liked them. thumbsup.gif

About that program- Do you mean the program that I have on my desktop that I used to take the screen shot below?- biggrin

2014-06-27_175554.jpg

As you might notice, I have been using FastStone for some time but haven't had the time to edit them all. Here is one of the ones I did using FastStone last year in  January 21, 2013...

Before-

After-

I will try to edit them all at some stage, some of the reason why I uploaded them all here.

Cheers anyway.

Jarrah
