I recently had the seat recovered and when I look at the underside it is obvious there were once a couple of rubber (or similar) pads on the underside and there is a 6mm thread for attaching same.
Our upholsterer tells us that "No, I never saw any pads there".
It looks to me as though they would have been removed to get access for a staple gun when affixing the new cover.
However he also tells us that he has a box of assorted pads for this type of installation and that I am welcome to go through them to see what I can get to fit.
I wonder how he got to have such a collection?
Can anyone give me dimensions etc as this would help me identifying the correct ones?
Of course if he has any they must have come off another bike! (Yeah, Right)
The part is named as "Locating Damper" by Yamaha and hads the part number 3TB-24185-00-00i
