TTR single tracking..

Took the TTR for it's first real ride... A few single tracks

thought the forestry... but the Rekluse clutch was slipping

so much I had to bring the revs on quite slowly to try and

keep the slip to a minimin.. didn't really work but at least

I haven't fryed the clutch or oil..

so I looks as if I will be back inside it...I think the clutch springs are to light

& the Rekluse clutch hasn't got anything to work against...

But anyway it was a good ride in nice warm winter weather..

Looks like a top place for a ride, where in NZ are you located ? When we rode the quads back in Jan this year I would have loved to ride a solo over the same tracks.

Pete why the rekluse clutch ? it would remind me of my new work car (7 speed CVR or whatever, sounds shocking going through the gears)

What's the advantage of the rekluse over the standard clutch apart from leaving a free hand ?

Cheers Terry

Quick question Pete, what happens when going downhill with the Rekluse, does it free wheel at idle ?

Terry

Yes & no... the clutch is set with slight drag....

When the bike is at idle in gear it should just

be trying to move foward...

I use the brakes not the motor..the motor has

no idea what the rear wheel is doing.....
