TTR as a race bike.

Went along to assist a local club set out the track for a moto x race meeting on Sunday and was invited to join in!

Apparently you can get a one day competition licence, but I won't be taking up the offer, I had enough fun tearing round the track after it was set out.

Don't blame you for passing on the race offer.  It ain't worth getting hurt.  As I get older I find that my mind and body seem to live in different time zones. no

Glad to hear you tore it up ...by yourself.

You wouldn't want to make those teenagers cry because they got spanked by a old pro anyway right?

Ain't that the truth.... my mind thinks I can still ride 2 stroke fast...

I so want another Gas Gas or Husky.... But it hurts for a lot longer

when yer come off now... I think slow & under powered is the safest option these days...

Does anyone on here watch the Motorcycle show with Henry Cole,
He was trying Motocross for the first time and managed to pop his shoulder out at 12 mph trying to get th back wheel to slid out under power.

The FJR might be getting replaced with this, we might be on the same wavelength!

Slightly off topic, but isn't that Henry Cole a 100% tosser.  He can't ride dirt bikes, he can't ride a bike on a road race track very well, and he knows bugger all about restoring or engine building.

Henry Cole must be doing something right. wink

  • For a start he's got more money than me.
  • He's know by more people than I am.
  • He's younger than me.
  • He's better looking than me.

For a so called "100% tosser" he's not doing too badly in my opinion. biggrin

Now, as for Burton500 - who is he? disbeliefconfuseno

Ha, Burton500 is someone who has raced against, and beaten, Damon Hill, Mat Oxley and Kenny Irons.  I'll post a pic from Mallory 2 weeks ago of him behind Mick Grant if you want.

Anyway, I'll amend my quote to Henry Cole being a well off, well known, young tosser!
