Hi all I had a quick look to see if I could find a guide to removing a rear shock but couldn't find one on here. Am I missing it or if there isn't one could anyone offer some advice or pictures if you have any? I'm sending it off to Justin Gibbs, as recommended elsewhere on this forum.
This LINKY will show how the rear shock is removed to replace the top bush.
The article is actually on the same page where other step-by-step guides can be found.
To see them all you need to click The TTR FAQ web pages link shown at the top left hand corner of the screen. You then have to scroll to the bottom of the page to see the list of articles.
Hi, thanks a lot for the offer but Justin Gibbs, who is recommended on the ttr forum, reckons his turn around time is 3 days from receiving. Hope youre better, shame you couldn't make the ride last Saturday. Are you booked on the Sat and/or Sun ones from Freshman and Alton on the last weekend of the month?
No problem, my mate has one of his shocks, and no the neck is bad, can only turn head halfway to the left and hurts like he'll, not sure how I broke myself. And won't be booking onto rides till neck better
I know of a very good (read "evil") osteopath in Winchester who can work wonders on serious 'relocations'...he used to work on rugby players. He can just look at you and tell you all your body issues without you saying a word! Let me know if you want a number, I think a session is £40 but one will deal with major issues and get you back on the road to recovery quicker.
My poor old bike is looking a bit sorry for itself!! I've also taken the carb off as it is now easy to get to to give it a bit of a check over (done by someone else), a clean and put some new fuel lines on. Shock sent off to Justin at Gibbs Performance and I hope to have it back by mid to end of next week...working!
