Hi all, new to TTR250 (pick up on the weekend) but not new to bikes
Been riding since I was 16 now 59, ATM I have 3 bikes Triumph Scrambler, Triumph Thruxton & a XR400R plus a XT225s that the wife has been riding.
Both the XR & XT are for sale, picking up a new TTR250 & got some bits on the go, B&B bash plate on the way, pick up a pair of enduro mirrors, got the hand guards already & ordered the Staintune pipe today, looking forward to the Yamaha, will miss the power of the XR but the softer ride will be a bonus.
Will post photos once I have delivery & a ride report to boot.
Welcome, Terry, and congratulations on getting a TTR.
If you want convincing on the suitability of a TTR then read this forum from stem to stern - very little bad stuff.
Two Triumphs and a Honda show how much you appreciate two wheeling.
Keep it up - and show us all what a new Yamaha TTR looks like - especially by having no scuffs, dings, scratches or mud.

My long time riding buddy bought a TTR250 last year for a trip to the Flinders Ranges which would be the best trail bike riding in South Australia. We went back again last week & the TTR went everywhere the XR went slightly slower but still got there. I had a ride last Thursday on a dry weather only road & it went well. Much softer than the XR which should be kind to my body.
Not a problem Steve, I'm in the NE (Golden Grove) & I can do a loop of 200kms from here without a single traffic light...mainly dirt roads (gravel) little bit of black top & some dry weather roads.
What side of town are you from ?
We do a trip to the Flinders every year, great spot
Here is my mate on his TTR with less than 200kms on the clock up a steep hill in the flinders ranges last year..he had my gopro but had to use my chesty mount as he didn't have a mount on his helmet.
Welcome Terry, This is a great place to share ideas and keep your "dirty fun" TTR running smooth! Thanks for the videos. Love to see what others are enjoying. Enjoy! greg
Thanks for the videos, TerryK. I especially liked the Mt. Buggery (surprising name) gorge video as you picked your way through the rocks up the trail. I wish I had more offroading possibilities close to my home.

Larry, the Flinders Ranges is 500kms away so not real close...Mt Buggery, Public access route & the gorges are all 500kms away, we trailer the bikes up & it's only a 5hr trip plus stops.
was out on a solo ride today around 150kms mainy dirt rds, a few dry weather track (these are the best) & a little black top. Stopped for a call of nature & took a photo
