This weeks MCN is worth a look. They took four 250cc trail bikes, to Eastern Europe and back, one of which was a TTR that all the testers liked and found nothing with it to dislike.

Worth reading.

Thanks for the heads up Peter!

Just been out and bought a copy. Only had chance to read the conclusions and the 8 year old TTR came out very well smile

There were only two MCNs left on the shelf so they must sell out quickly so don't hang around - go buy a copy and bask in TTR glory biggrinbiggrin

Just read the article in full - very good.

Their thoughts on the TTR

What we liked: the TT250R is indestructible & SIMPLISTIC.

What we didn’t like: Er, nothing

Their VERDICT:

 “The Yamaha (TTR) was on test as a benchmark bike and a nod to the second-hand market. Eight years older then the rest, its age didn’t show, and you should be able to get a good one from around £1,500”

Their thoughts mirror my own! That's why I got another one after owning and riding a Raid for 9 years or so. It did break occasionally but it was easy to fix.

I like to ride them and not have to fix them (To often!)
