SOLD! 2005 TTR 250 - 5136 Miles Trail Ready! £2050 Bristol SOLD!

It is with regret that I am forced to list my Yamaha TTR 250 for sale.

It has been sat in my garage for a couple of years now with only occasional use to maintain it. This is due to two unfortunate injurys in August 2011 and August 2012 which have left me unfit to ride a bike for the forseeable future.

This is a low mileage bike with 3 previous owners and has been very well looked after. It currently has 5136 miles on the clock and is laid up, so this will only change a tiny amount.

I have the following MOTs for the bike proving the history:

1st Registration - September 2005

August 2008 - 4297 Miles

August 2009 - 4452 Miles

I then Aquired the bike in August 2010 and had it MOTed straight away:

August 2010 - 4491 Miles

I did plenty of trail riding on the bike in 2010/early 2011 up until getting injured in August 2011 and the bike was brilliant and never let me down.

The MOT then lapsed as a result of my injuries. I replaced the chain and sprockets in December 2011 and I MOTed the bike in March 2012 with a view to getting back on the trails.

March 2012 - 5119 Miles

In August 2012 I had another accident this time leaving me with a head injury and I have no chance of riding for the forseeable future - the bike is currently on 5136 miles.

As you can see from the history I never did get back on the trails since early 2011 and the bike has barely moved besides MOT/maintenance miles - the chain and sprockets are brand new as a result of this and having done no miles since the last MOT the bike will fly right through another one.

I am happy to get the bike MOTed for the buyer if the full asking price is met.

The bike is currently taxed until July 2013,

When I acquired the bike it was trail ready, with flexible indicators, a bash plate, metal re-inforced hand guards etc. I have however made a couple of modifications to the bike. I am 6ft tall and felt the bars were too low so have fitted Renthal high rise bars (anodised blue).

The gearing is 14-42

The bike was fitted with an FMF race can, the main jet was appropriate but i have increased the size of the pilot jet to suit the open can.

The bike is currently being stored in my friends garage but will be moved back to my own as of this weekend, and I will get updated photos for you, however here are some photos that I havve from when I purchased the bike.

New chain and sprockets

The bike is also due an oil change which I will do before the handing over to the new owner if the full asking price is met.

I hope you can see this is a lovely bike in lovely condition on which I have only covered ~600 miles.

I am located in Bristol, and would be prepared to deliver the bike for a pre-negotiated fee up to a 2 hour journey time from my home.

I would like £2050 for the bike with a fresh MOT and oil change.

Any questions I am on 0 7 5 8 5 9 7 7 8 3 3

For anyone who has viewed this advert I have revised the pricing down and not included the spares that I have so suggest you read again.

Quick update - I have given the bike a clean and check over today and everything is perfect as it was at the last MOT.

I have recorded a cold start video here  clicky, you can see how sweet this motor is.

Here is a warm start video also: clicky

Lots of photos taken today:

The exhaust is a little loud but could easily be baffled and has never caused me a problem on the lanes. I am also prepared to swap the exhaust over with the standard item if the buyer so wishes.

I'll give this advert a week or so to run on the forum before revising it for eBay.

Cheers

Conrad

Yes video working now.

What a good idea adding a video for when selling a bike, it sounds spot on and I would guess your bike will soon sell.

Good luck.

Hi Mate,

If you are going to list it on Ebay and want to sell the exhaust prior to listing it I would be interested in buying it plus the jets.

Hi Martin

I am happy to swap the exhaust for the standard item and rejet the bike to standard, but only if the buyer so wishes.

Therefore currently I would prefer to sell the bike 'as is' exhaust wise and may have an exhaust for sale after the bike is sold.

Cheers

Conrad
