hi,have gone over my newly acquired ttr250 earlier and there is no engine mount for the top front of the cylinder head,is this normal or do i need to fabricate/buy new plates,thanks in advance,rodge

It seems very odd. Are you missing the head brace as shown in this pic?

thought something was missing! also i have a blanking plug for the de-comp on my bike.

strangely enough i have some mounts that look very simaler to the pic,had them years,no idea where i got them from though confuse

would post a pic but no idea howcry,thanks for advice

Something to keep an eye on.My engine seemed to be moving relative to the frame on acceleration .Turned out all the engine mounts were a bit loose.Never thought to check them as engine was never out.Tightened them all up and bike is 100percent better .Mayby it's worth checking on any bike every so often .
