A quick and hopefully simple quetsion; I have seen plenty of choice of graphics sets availabile for the tank, mudgaurds etc. But I would like plain white stickers for above the headlight and side panels (i.e the number boards if it were a MX bike).

What do you use for these?

Thx, Nigel.

Hi Nigel

It would be good if someone produced these panels in plain white for the "original" TTR look.

What I do is buy white race number backings from a dirtbike shop and cut them to fit.

Does anyone know a source of pre-cut graphics please?

Brian

Brian, sticker makers?  confuse

When "I were a lad" and lived in the NE I found a shop on Westgate Road. wink

Westgate Road is THE motorcycle hill in Newcastle upon Tyne. It is graced with all manner of motorcycle shops and services.

One such shop is a Sticker Supply Shop - A-Z Stickers - a great source.

This shop will supply raw sticker material or design/make/fix ANY sticker that you or they can design/make.

The proprietor is a chap called Michael Laidler. I know him from VMCC times. He's very knowledgeable about bikes and especially stickers.

Perhaps your white sticker supply query could be solved. biggrin

Thanks Martyn,

Yes A-Z stickers is still there on Westgate Road, Dont know why I didn't think of that myself.

Unfortunately "The Hill" is a shadow of its former self these days no There is just one main dealer there now, a couple of repair shops, and a breakers. Oh and a few accessory shops. Not at all like it used to be.

I'll give A-Z a try next time I'm in the area.

Thx Nigel.

Thanks for that Ted. I made up some side panel decals today but the white backings I used were very thin. The LH one went on fine but I had real trouble with creasing on the RH side panel. I got it right on the second attempt but only after reducing the size of the decal so there wasn't the "double" bend at the top disbelief

I have found that the real heavy duty backings lift after a short while.

I did get a nice pair of ready-cut side panel decals from D&D Graphics back along so I have asked their MD if they would consider selling them separate to a full decal set. I will let you know when I get a reply.

I was looking for material for quite a while to do the same thing, finally found this stuff:

Number Plate Background

It is actually available a number of places but I wasn't using the right search term so it took a while. It is very thick but seems to be slightly perforated so it conforms to curvy surfaces.

I imagine someone has it over your way.

If your talking about the side cover white graphics these can be bought from Yamaha. I bought them & found out the side covers came with them so i have spares.

Failing that see below because it's where i bought them.

Just had a reply and D&D say:

"Working on it now. Looking to do both side panels and the one above the headlight as a pack."

Excellent news biggrin
