Weight of TTR engine?

Bottom end weighs 27.8732511365 kg according to customs. That only leaves the barrel & head to weigh.

Not sure about the comparison between wr.

I've been seeing some lightweight custom builds out there on the internet & wondered what the engine/trans of our TTRs weighed in at, so I thought I'd ask if anyone knows?

I've also wondered about the greater weight of the TTR vs. the YZ or WR seeing as how they have the whole water-cooled system that we don't have, but they are still a good bit lighter (WR has same lights as US TTR's).

I have a stock '09 WR250 that I thought I'd try, (see Matteo's thread) that weighed in around 7 lbs as compared to the 9+lbs for the stocker. Anyone compared other components?

Complete head weighs 5.579186151 kg according to customs.

The barrel weighs 3kg with the piston so you would have to take the weight of a piston & gudgeon pin (wrist pin) ie.. 0.26109910798125 kg away from that & you end up with the correct dry weight.

According to my info it weighs 35.9302390715375 roughly 36kg.

Not very heavy for an engine this size.

Thanks for the info.

I think I would have guessed a little lighter, but I haven't really thought about motorcyle engine weights before.
