Hey everyone,

I thought it best that I introduce myself and say hi to everyone after joining the forum a few months ago.. I recently bought myself a K Reg TTR 250 open enduro which I initially intended on using to commute to work throughout the bad weather months as I didn't want to wreck the paint work and nickel plating on my full custom motorcycle. After just a few rides I was hooked on this great little machine! I've never had so much fun on something with such a small engine.

In terms of what the future holds who knows... I'm booked in to go green laning in a couple of weeks once work settles and am now considering a full restoration and rebuild in the spring months once my Custom comes out to play.

The bike itself is a little rough but for its age runs well, can anyone suggest what I should be checking on a bike this old before I go throwing it around in the mud?

Regards Jo

Welcome to the TTR side of life, Jo.

You made a good decision in choosing the TTR - they are pleasing to ride and very rugged with plenty of grunt.  wink

If you haven't yet checked the FAQ section then I recommend it.

(Click on the link and scroll down the page.)

You can find all the information on what to look for and check on your TTR.

Enjoy your bike and enjoy this site. aww
