There is usually a number stamped into the metal tab on the keyring. Not sure if there is any other mark but i have'nt seen one. You could take your lock out & take it to a locksmith.

My own: Your never too young to learn an old trick! :)
The ignition keys, believed to be original, does not fit my steering lock. I never got an extra key for the steering lock from the previous owner so I am unsure how to source such a key.
I have bought a second hand TTR 250 Raid from November '15 and have been reading the useful blogs on this site ever since and before, very useful !! :D
I have a question about this topic and was wondering if you could help me out..
I bought my bike with a broken part of the key in the innermost part of the steering lock and after a lot of patience, I still didn't succeed in getting it out. The locksmith told me that I would have to get the whole lock out in order for him to be able to work on it..
As the lock cover does never completely uncover the steering lock case, I have no idea how can this be done and I would love to have a lockable steering..
together with other bits. To open the above link hold down your right mouse button then take the option to open it in a new tab or window, saves whizzing off and losing this page.
I think that removal involves grinding off the cover swivel pin - but I'm not sure as I've never done it.
It might be worth saving if you can get the barrel out, if only to have 1 key for both ign and lock as long as the ign key fits into the barrel once you've got the broken old bit out (ie the same cross sectional shape) Even if the keys are not the same profile, if the ign key will fit into the barrel, with patience the brass tangs that slide in and out can be filed to allow the barrel to turn. (You'll see what I mean when it's out!)
Good luck!
Simon.
