Rare opportunity to buy a Yamaha TTR250 trail bike with only 10,700 miles on the clock!

Reliable and economical 250cc four stroke with 6 gears- the perfect dual purpose commuter/trail bike.

First registered September 2003. MOT (full MOT – not a “daylight" one) until 12th September 2013 and taxed to end September 2013. The bike is in excellent condition with original folder and documents from White Bros plus the original spare key.

  • Renthal bars with new wrap-around handguards (with metal strengthening inserts) and new Progrip Soft Touch “Cross” 801 grips.
  • Metzeler 6-days Extreme road-legal tyres - both have plenty of life left in them. The front tyre is practically new
  • CRD frame guards and bashplate (bashplate and rear caliper guard were fitted after the pics were taken)
  • New genuine Yamaha  headlight (from a WR450) with the readily available H4 bulb
  • New Enjoy Mfg decals and seat cover professionally fitted
  • Engine just overhauled with rebore and new piston fitted plus oil and filter change
  • Cylinder head also overhauled with valves lapped in, new valve stem oil seals fitted and valve clearances adjusted.
  • New sprag clutch fitted as a precautionary measure. This can be a weak point on the TTR.
  • Original Yamaha owners manual - in English!
  • Dual start - electric AND kickstart
  • The TTR has a proper ignition switch (unlike many enduro bikes) plus steering lock
  • Full speedo and idiot light cluster with speedo in mph
  • Fully adjustable suspension front and rear to suit your riding style
  • Suitable for someone who has passed the A2 as less than 33 kW.
  • A lower seat option is available plus a further 2” can be lost with a lowering link

A good example of this sought-after bike. It starts and runs well.

All spares are readily available by mail order from somewhere like Fowlers or over the counter at your local Yamaha dealer. Very little changed other than cosmetics between 1993 and 2004 so no worries about getting the correct spare part as can be the case with Honda XR250s etc.

There is a good range of after-market accessories for the TTRs see http://www.totallyttrs.com/ . Lots of information on this very popular and sought after bike at www.ttr250.com

There is also a very active owners group here

Very economical and will do a day's trail riding on a tank of petrol. Plus it has an "all-day" comfy seat unlike more enduro-based machines.

Perfect beginner's trail bike but also suitable for the more experienced rider who realises that it isn't necessary to have a big engine to enjoy themselves on technical lanes.

There are a few cheaper TTRs around but the choice is yours. This one is in very good order – you won’t be disappointed!

Excellent value at £1,995

Cash on collection preferred please.

Ahhh...... the good ones go first. smile

Well done, if it turns out as good as the one I bought from you the lucky man is sure to get MANY happy and pleasant hours from it.

I've just been out on mine today, with four others.

Brilliant.
