Hi

Re 1993 ttr

Need to remove the flywheel to check the sprag clutch.  Undone the centre bolt easy enough with an air wrench, but now need to pull the flywheel off.  I read that the rear axle could be used but that started to take the thread off the axle without too much effort.  So I'm trying to find a suitable tool.  Typing Yamaha Flywheel puller on ebay doesn't seem to bring up the correct item, as they tend to be bigger than the 18 x 1.25 required.  Any leads in the UK on where to get one?

cheers

Lee.

£5.50 + p&p. Any good?

Hi Lee. You want a 18mm spark plug thread chaser SEE HERE IN THE FAQ'S

I used one to get my flywheel off and it works great with a air wrench.

Correct - a 1.5mm thread is needed.

If you get stuck, I have a new extractor here unused with its original packet £8.20 (inc the extortionate Royal Mail small packet postage of £2.20!). I just took it out to check it was the right thread - which it was!

If you want it, please email sales@totallyttrs.com , rather than send a PM, as Trish will need to deal with it as I am off to the Science Museum in London tomorrow for the day with some like-minded mates. biggrin

A simple 18mm x 1.5 bolt available at your local hardware works just fine.
