Engine guards?

Hi all,

had a stonking day out on wednesday gone on some great lanes in North Yorkshire. However I did have a little tumble on a real nadgery rocky uphill section, thank god for thor knee guards!!.

Anyways the bike went down onto the nearside and Ive really scraped the engine covers badly. Luckily I didnt penetrate them but I suspect purely down to luck. Set my thinking that if this is my habitat for riding I need to fit some protection. Didnt like the sound of those rocks bashing the underside of the bike either.....

Can anyone point me in the direction of where to purchase engine protection, I seem to be able to find bash plates quite easily but struggle to get armoured covers?

Im thinking this sort of stuff.....

Whilst on topic what bash plate is recommended?

Cheers

Tony

i have a crd bash plate on mine, is quite a large unit and i would say almost negates the need for an ingnition or clutch cover like those ones, I dont think they make them anymore, but you may get lucky on ebay, if you do find one id recomend it. Failing that Totally TTR's do bash plates I think, I havent seen one in the flesh, but would expect decent stuff from such a reputable supplier.

Tony, if you can get a bash plate like CRD then as Rattly says, you won't need cover guards.

In the UK they can be obtained at a resonable price from HERE.
