Welcome to the ttr forums Thomas

You have come to the right place to ask questions, they are just about always answered on here.

On the subject of FMF pipe the only place i have seen them for a reasonable price is on ebay eg. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/99-06-Yamaha-TTR250-FMF-Powercore-4-slip-on-exhaust-/310376759299?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4843e58003

As for the jets http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Yamaha-TT250-R-TT-250-250R-TTR250-TTR-TT-R250-Carburetor-Carb-Stage-1-3-Jet-Kit-/230816952399?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35bdc3304f

If it is running a bit hot then a good oil change and service would'nt go astray, others may have more ideas..

Have you checked the spark plug to see if it is running lean?

Oil filter clogged?

Wrong oil?

Dirt clogged in motor fins?

Jarrah.

Lucky man - some cracking lanes in Wales - God's own riding territory biggrin

There is a quieter and cheaper alternative to the FMF made and sold in the UK - see http://www.joatmoa.co.uk/ttr250/exhaust.htm

I have two TTRs with these pipes on and no re-jetting was required.

However, if you made changes to your airbox (opening it up in some way) then it may be necessary to adjust the needle clip position or go up a size on the main jet.

Jarrah's advice on possible causes of over heating are good wink

Brian
