Just joined and haven't had a look through the site yet.

I've had my 2004 TTR250R for nearly 3 years, my 1st one, also 2004 was stolen, 18 months and 1500 miles oldfurious

I go trail riding close to home, my longest run being 70 miles.

The bike is perfect for my needs and I intend to keep it a while yet.

Biggest job I've done is to replace the starter motor, importing one from the good old USA. A week later a UK supplier dropped their prices to nearly what I paid!

Next expense will be chain and sprockets and tyres.

Bike has done 5,400 miles.

Welcome to TTR land.

I didn't know that Scotland had green lanes. confuse They let walkers roam freely I know, but I thought motorbikes were frowned on and got haggis thrown after them.

Chain AND sprockets are available from Mr TTR at very reasonable rates and I can vouch for them being good.

 Martyn,

we don't have green lanes, but if you do your homework and keep out the way of the walkers/horse riders/mountain bikers you can still find quiet trails.

I'm retired, so can go out anytime during the week. I also have to plan petrol stops for longer runs, but although many rural ones have closed I can usually fill up well within tank range. Gives the backside a rest too.

No - you didn't do anything wrong with your link, but if you had pasted it into your message using the "chain link" icon on the message reply toolbar it becomes clickable from your posting.

I just made it live by editing and making it directly clickable. wink

I don't think there's any probation period for newbies on this forum, Gordon. confuse

If I want to do a link I type LINK ...... then I open a new window and find the link I want to show - and then copy the link address (URL) to memory.

Having got the address into memory I then highlight where I wanted the LINK to go - and find that the "link" button in the tool bar will accept the link location.

Opens up a window and you paste the link address (URL).

Easy peasy - to me at any rate - but then, I'm not as old as some! biggrinwinksmile
