I am thinking along the same lines as Martyn. You have almost certainly had to take the camshafts off when you removed the head. Did you check the valve clearances when it all went back together?

When the engine is running, try putting the handle of a long screw driver against your ear and the other end against the head and barrel to see if you can identify more closely the source of the noise.

Adam

Did you, by any chance, disturb the valves or shims when the head was removed? confuse

Difficult to tell from the video but it almost sounds like its coming from the cam chain.

As I said it is difficult to tell what's happening from the video.

The fact that you are worried and that it is a "new" noise that has happened since the rebuild suggest something is not right.

The most obvious ticking noise that I have come across was from an engine where a veryy small piece of wire had managed to find its way into the combustion chamber and was bobbing about between the head and piston.

My suggestion is to take the simple route first and to remove the cam cover, check everything is tight and looks as it should. Also re-measure the valve clearances.

Hey mate it seems to be  coming from the LH side of the head most likely the intake valves as i did what you told me to with a scewdriver and it seems theat there is a light tapping noise coming from there.
