gears jumping out selector

furiousmy bike is old thoughly trashed heaps of ks still hit that button its off but sadly now it throws into neutral would it be selector ?  how do i rectify this prob thanks

Welcome to the TTR forum, Raptor57.

Generally, TTR gearboxes are very robust. Jumping out of gear is an indication that a bit of dismantling is necessary. cry

A good workshop manual is a must. It will give detailed instruction to the DIYer. Haynes do one - or you can download a workshop manual off line.

The Yamaha Manual gives this information:-

Be methodical. Check everything carefully. Take photos before, during and after dismantling so that you have some evidence should things go wrong. confuse

thanks i will get onto it asap really havent even taken a look as yet but of course the horror stories come like may as well do complete rebuild ah well be lookin for some good prices for spare parts soon i guess thanks keep you informed
