Does anyone know if the 1999 TTR 250 use reverse thread mirror for the right hand side?  Does left hand side use a mirror with normal thread?

All TTR250s use the reverse thread on the RHS - stops the wind blowing them toward you apparently wink

LH mirror is normal thread.

Thanks Brian!

I can't get my new BikeMaster mirror to screw in.  It's a left hand yahama reverse thread mirror that I'm try in install on the right hand side to make it street legal.

It should be 10mm right?

It is 10mm thread for the mirror.  You were right it is reverse on the right hand side.

I took a part the BikeMaster mirror from the post to screw in the bike with a boxend wrench.

Then I used a 17mm socket (had to buy one) & wrench to screw in the post first.  The I was able to attach or screw down the part with the mirror and use the boxend wrench to tighten and adjust.

Thanks for your help.  I couldn't have done it with out knowing what was correct.  Now I get to buy & put on the left hand one.

Its also likely to be a metric fine thread, so be careful if tapping it out with a thread cutter that you use the correct tap.
