Hi Isaac and welcome to the forum!

Sorry to hear of your "incident" - hope you are OK?

Firstly, the only reason I can think for the TTR only starting in neutral is that you have dislodged or damaged the clutch switch somehow in your accident. Check that out and, if its OK, come back and let us know.

The running problem shows the classic symptoms of a blocked pilot jet. I have just had that happen on a TTR I bought in for spares. It starts and runs OK for a few seconds on EasyStart but then will only run above tick over by continually flicking the throttle which allows the main jet and accelerator pump to put some petrol in. It could be that some dirt in the carb was dislodged and blocked the jet.

Some pictorial guides here to help you access the carb.

Let us know how you get on.

Brian

well i cleaned out the carb and i put it all back together properly, and all it does is turn over choke on or off... maybe its not getting a good enough spark? im not sure the compression is fine im sure... is there any other possible problem any one can think of? like i said i think the spark plug is ok i turned it over with the spark plug out and it look like a good spark, and now that the carb is cleaned out i dont know what the problem could be... let me know if you think of anything im gonna go over the bike one more time..

Sorry to hear the problem still exists Isaac.

I think you are going to have to work through things methodically - see http://ttr250.activeboard.com/t45670479/help-ttr-250-wont-start/
