The sun is shining here in Devon, which makes a change from the previous days of persistent rain.
The southwest has recently joined the southeast of England in their official drought.
It's typcal of this disjointed governance that they fly in the face of common sense, public decision and blatant facts.
Anyway, what better way to celebrate the flooding drought by going for a ride on the trails?
This was the first sign of the current drought:-
and this is the consequence:-
The bike was spotless before crossing the waters and it will now need a clean, even after a quick rinse in a nearby "double ford".
Even the farmers seem to be against us, I had to dismount twice because of these:-
Still - it's al good for exercise and enjoyable in retrospect.
Turned out nice again!

Wettest drought yet
Good to see you out and about Martyn!
It's been ages since I have had a trail ride and hoping to go out for a few hours one day next week. Badger Bob is also keen to get out. Fancy a little bimble if the forecast improves?
