hello there. my father has a TTR250 raid which gave us a lot of functional problems. first was the starter sprag clutch. completely broken. but eitherwise i has battery problems. these jell bateries sold in greece are propably fake chinese imitation of yuasa batteries and don't long enough. so i found a spare ttr for sale and i bought a lot of things. first the sprag clutch. i was brand new that was installed in an engine which after some kilometers broke. hehe! i was lucky on that. after that i bought the whole kick starter inside the engine. i fitted a honda xl 250 kistarter made in taiwan. the oem one was insane expensive. i think it was 150euros. only the kickstarter thing. oooo.. i have to refresh my english.  its late, tomorrow i will upload some pics.
