Here is my TTR250 for sale. It was first pre-registered in May 2004 by a dealer, and sold to a friend of mine in Jan 2005 with 0 miles. Steve picked up an injury which meant he barely used it. I bought it in July 2010 with 1347 miles. It's currently done 6020 miles.
Condition wise, see the photos. Ordinarily if I was to sell a bike I'd clean and polish it thoroughly, but as I'm laid up after a knee operation at present the pictures show the bike as it is. I'll be honest it's not a minter, but it's far from a scabby dog either.
Bad bits first. The panels are lightly scuffed as you might expect and the front mudguard has some crease marks. The headlamp cowl has a crack on the inside near the mounting point which is virtually unnoticeable. The seat cover has a couple of small tears, covered in gaffer tape. None of this is more than cosmetic. It has some light corrosion on some of the fasteners, the grab rails and the exhaust can. The tyres and chain and sprockets are not far from needing a change. I’ve tried to be honest with the description and show as much detail as I can in the pictures.
Good bits. The wheels, forks, swingarm, etc. have no marks, it's had an oil/filter change every year regardless of mileage and more thorough service a couple of months ago. Plug changed, greased all cables and pivots, stripped the head bearings and swingarm linkages, etc. It has CRD frame protectors and a CRD bashguard fitted, which are a few hundred quids worth and will stay on the bike. I have the original handguards, mirrors, a couple of spare side panels, pillion pegs, all MOT's, both keys and all the books. I've got the original tailpiece and number plate, rather than the small plate that's fitted. It's taxed until next February and Mot'd until July.
The bike is registered to me and can be collected from here, just north of Sheffield. To arrange to view it just drop me a message with your phone number and I’ll call you.
Price is £1400 as it is or £1550 with new chain and sprockets and a set of nearly new Pirelli MT21s or similar. Thanks for looking.
Not the tidiest of adverts I must admit. I'm more used to UKGSER and the method of posting pictures is somewhat different. But I hope you get the idea.
