I have seen this item on sale before and when it was then brought up everyone decided that it was a scam.
It was decided that Yamaha had not fitted any restriction in the original unit so there would be no benefit on wasting money on this replacement.
In theory, if Mr Yamaha had restricted or limited the original set up, and this "amended" box were to be fitted then the engine would rev a lot higher with ignition mapping amended to suit, etc. These gains would be at the risk of a wrecked motor or temperamental operation.
