Hi guys, seems to be a few new posts from Aussies who have just bought a TTR.
I am joining in, had a white '94 model For about 5 years which I sold for a '99 model Honda CRM250. Have seen the light and back on a 2001 blue TTR with only 3,000 easy k's ( all road from what I can see)
Looking for advice on fitting the Acerbis tank from XR's as the range is so limited and I don't want to carry auxiliary fuel tanks anymore. I have the mechanical skills of a newt ..... So hopefully this can be done pretty easily.
Debating over luggage to get for ADV riding, but need to solve the fuel range first.
I am expecting about the same range from the standard tank as you are getting - but I want to do some long distance and know the TTR can do it..... Except for the range
I can put 10l can on a rack, but expect the rack will require gear and camping equipment
I would prefer to keep the weight of the fuel of the subframe if possible
