ok guys (and ladies)

so a piece of information..... what other bikes/ products does/did Yamaha use the TTR 250 engine in would be interesting to know........

To the best of my knowledge, no other motorcycle uses the TTR250 engine. Most of its parts are prefixed 4GY which show they aren't shared. 

If anyone else knows differently then I would be delighted to know.

I am guessing the engine was developed from the old TT250. I bought a gasket set for the TT250 in error and a few (but not many) of the gaskets looked the same.

Ive looked at an SR250 cylinder and crank on ebay ......looks very simiar
