Many thanks to Igor for finding the Web Cam site - see here http://www.webcamshafts.com/

They offer two different camshaft sets as shown below. Anyone heard of the company or tried their camshafts?

That's very interesting and thanks for the information. BUT...

I'm of the opinion that if I was'nt satisfied with my TTR's performance then it would be more worth my while to get a bike that WOULD fit my requirements, rather than spend money on something that MAY improve it.

Just my thought.

I have a "superbike" (GSF1200) that is plenty fast enough for me and I doubt if I've EVER used its full potential.
It has a conservative 100bhp output. Now, I've seen many owners that have tweaked their engines for "improved" output BUT I doubt if they would be able to use their enhanced power, never mind being capabale of handling it!

Just my thoughts. Disregard them if you want to shell out on new cams when your original cams are still OK.

Back from the dead...

As I have a spare head - TTR. My name isn't Zaphod Beeblebrox - and my bike has 63k on it, I'm thinking of having the spare serviced and bunging that on.

Which does raise the question about the cams...
and the valves...

My XS1200 race bike has Web Cams etc in it, plug a **** load of other expensive stuff. So, I'm glad I found this thread. I wonder if they still do a kit? It's been 12 years since this was last discussed.

Generally, I would also consider that oem is best, especially for longevity. Want more power, buy something different. But these days, that may be anopther KTM, and we know what owner's tend to suggest about their cams.
